FNB and Sunday Times have teamed up once again to bring you Shark Tank – a highly coveted initiative that aims to enable entrepreneurial success in the KwaZulu-Natal region. Shark Tank calls for entries from the public, inviting entrepreneurs to pitch their big ideas and business plans to a panel of prominent business personalities whose task it is to select the winner. Last year saw the competition drawing massive interest in its inaugural stage with nearly 100 entries that were shortlisted to 10 highly ambitious finalists. This year promises to be no different, and with the interest that has already been generated, we expect it to be teeming with talent and spirited competition amongst the hopeful participants who hope to walk away with the first prize of that will include coaching from some of the province’s best business minds, media exposure, as well as bank assistance from FNB, all to the value of R150,000.
